Bedside storage basket for rooms where every flat surface is already taken and the only space left is vertical. It hangs from a bed frame, the back of a door or an under-bed rail, holding books, a phone, toiletries or folded clothing in a spot that was previously dead space. In a single dorm room that is often the only storage left to claim once the desk and the wardrobe are full.
The basket is made of metal, so it keeps its shape under a load that would sag a fabric pocket, and the open frame means contents are seen and reached without pulling the whole basket down. It hooks on rather than fixing permanently, so it can be lifted off and rehung somewhere else as the room changes, and nothing is screwed into a wall or a rented frame. There is nothing to wear out or replace over a year of daily use.
