Freestanding wardrobe cabinet for a bedroom or dressing room that needs a full closet system without a builder. It stands on its own rather than being fixed into an alcove, so it can be repositioned, moved between rooms or taken with you at the end of a tenancy, none of which is true of a built-in run of joinery. At 36 inches wide it works as a single unit or as one module in a longer wall of storage.
Storage is split across 6 shelves and 3 drawers, with the drawers combining fully closed fronts for private items and half-open fronts for the things reached daily. Adjustable shelving lets the tall section be set for coats and reset later for folded stacks as the wardrobe changes, while the top section takes the bulky items, luggage and spare bedding, that otherwise end up on the floor. Open display niches break up the run for handbags.
Set it against a bedroom wall as a standalone wardrobe, line two along one side of a dressing room, or use it in a spare room where a hinged wardrobe door would block the walkway. Everstock made it modular for that reason: a closet built from repeatable units grows with the room instead of being replaced. In a rental it gives a fitted look with no wall modification and nothing left behind.
