End of bed storage bench at 49.2 inches, long enough to span the foot of a queen or king bed rather than sitting awkwardly short of it. The upholstered lid works as a seat for putting shoes on, and the interior underneath takes spare duvets, pillows and the bedding that otherwise fills a wardrobe shelf. In ivory it reads as part of the bed rather than an extra object in the room.
The cover is a cotton and linen fabric, a matte weave with texture rather than sheen, which is the finish that sits well next to bed linen instead of competing with it. At 17.7 inches wide and 18.1 inches high it lands at bed height, so it lines up with the mattress rather than sitting below or above it. The storage is the full internal volume of the bench, reached from the top.
It belongs at the end of a bed, but the same bench works along a closet wall as a place to sit while dressing, or in a large dressing room holding out-of-season clothing. Everstock sized it to standard bed widths because a bench that is close but not right is the one that never looks settled in a room. A folded throw across one end breaks up the length visually.
