Under-shelf shoe rack for the dead air above every pair of shoes in a cabinet. Most shoe cupboards are built with shelf gaps tall enough for boots and then filled with trainers, wasting half the height on every tier. This hooks underneath an existing shelf and creates a second level in that gap. It is for people who want more storage without buying a bigger cabinet.
The frame is carbon steel, heavy enough to hold a loaded pair without flexing and thin enough in section to lose almost no headroom to the rack itself. It hangs from the shelf above on formed hooks, so there is nothing to drill, screw or glue, and the whole thing lifts straight off again. A basket hangs from the frame for polish, laces, insoles and the small things that otherwise roll loose.
Use it in a hallway shoe cabinet, a wardrobe base, or a kitchen or utility cupboard where the same wasted headroom appears above tins and cleaning bottles.
