Bedside storage cabinet for the narrow gap between a bed and a wall, sized for rooms where a full chest of drawers was never going to fit. It gives the bedside a proper surface and a closed compartment underneath, so chargers, glasses cases and half-read books stop stacking up on the mattress edge. Renters get the most from it, since it furnishes a bedside without altering anything in the room.
The frame is built in wood, which gives it the weight to stay put when something is pulled from the compartment rather than skidding across a hard floor. It arrives flat and is assembled on site, which is what keeps a solid timber piece carryable up a stairwell in one trip. There are no castors, so once the cabinet is positioned it stays exactly where it was set rather than drifting away from the bed.
Everstock built it for rental rooms, box rooms and shared houses, where furniture has to be modest enough to move out again at the end of a tenancy. Away from the bed it works as a hallway console for keys and post, or beside a sofa as an end table. In a shared house it is small enough to fit a room you have not measured yet, which matters when you are moving in sight unseen.
