Cable management box for the power strip that sits in plain sight on a living room floor or sideboard with four chargers trailing out of it. The woven rattan-style case takes the strip, the plugs and the slack, and closes over them, so what stays visible is a basket rather than a bundle of wires. It reads as a decorative object instead of an accessory.
The body is moulded in PP with a handmade rattan-effect weave, sturdy and wear-resistant enough to be lifted and moved regularly without the surface fraying. A fitted lid closes over the top for protection and to keep dust off the sockets. Two sizes are offered: 33 x 13.5 x 13.5cm and 33 x 15 x 13cm, so it can be matched to the depth of a shelf. The weave is moulded rather than assembled from loose strands, so there is nothing to catch on a sleeve.
Everstock designed it for the lounge, where the router, the lamp and the TV all feed from one strip beside the sofa. It also works on a hallway console, under a desk or on a bedside table. Keep the lid clear of heat sources and leave the cable exits unblocked so the strip inside is not enclosed against a warm surface. A second box keeps the desk feed separate from the one behind the sofa.
