Data cable storage box is the answer to the drawer of tangled leads that everyone eventually accumulates. Seven small compartment boxes sit inside the outer case, so a USB-C lead, an old micro-USB cable, an adapter and a pair of earphones each get their own container instead of knotting themselves together. It is for anyone with more devices than sockets, which by now is most people with a desk.
The separation is the whole mechanism: individual boxes stop cables from crossing, which is what causes the knotting in the first place, and each small box can be lifted out and carried to wherever the lead is needed. The outer case closes over the top, keeping dust off connector ends that otherwise collect grit in an open tray. Coiled leads sit in their boxes rather than being wrapped around themselves under tension.
It lives on a desk beside the monitor, or drops into a drawer as a ready-made divider system. It also travels well, since the closed case means a bag can be packed without the leads escaping into the lining. Everstock built it around the specific frustration of needing one particular cable and finding it attached to four others, which is a two-minute job every single time it happens.
