Remote control holder with five compartments for the coffee table where three remotes, a phone and a pen are always somewhere under a cushion. Each slot takes one item upright, so the television remote is found by reaching rather than by searching. It is just as useful on a desk, where the same five compartments hold scissors, a stapler, a ruler and pens within arm's reach.
The body is covered in PU leather over a rigid ABS plastic frame, which gives it enough weight to stay put when a remote is pulled out quickly. The top is open rather than lidded, so nothing has to be moved to reach in, and the leather surface wipes down with a cloth when it picks up dust. At 20 by 7.5 by 10.5cm it claims very little of the surface it sits on.
Everstock supplies it for living rooms where the table is also where homework, post and phones land through the day. It works beside a sofa, on a bedside table for a reading light remote and glasses, or on a home office desk as a stationery cup with divisions. In black it reads as a deliberate object rather than as storage.
