Pen holder cast as a gothic figurine, for a desk that already leans toward the ornamental and needs the storage to match. It keeps pens, pencils, brushes and dice upright and to hand while reading as a piece of retro, historical-styled decor rather than office equipment. Tabletop gamers, collectors and anyone building a themed desk get more from it than a plain cup would ever give them.
The detail is moulded into the outer form while the interior stays a plain open well, so the sculpted surface never interferes with dropping a handful of pens in. Its base is broad relative to the opening, which keeps the figure standing when the desk is knocked or a cable is pulled across it. Nothing has to be assembled or fixed down, so it can be repositioned as the desk layout changes.
It suits a gaming desk beside a dice tray, a study desk where a session's notes and pencils need to stay together, or a shelf where it can stand as an ornament between uses. Collectors often keep it displayed empty. Everstock made it for people who would rather their desk storage looked like part of the collection than like office stock, and it works as a gift on the same basis.
