Under-cabinet hook racks convert the dead band beneath a wall unit into hanging storage, and this carbon steel rack takes towels, cutting boards, pot lids and utensils in that gap. The worktop underneath is freed up for actual prep. Everstock built it for small kitchens and apartments where the counter is the scarcest thing in the room.
Installation is hook-type: the rack lifts onto the underside of the cabinet and holds there, with no assembly, no tools and nothing screwed or glued into the cabinetry. The carbon steel frame carries the weight of boards and lids rather than only light items, and its non-folding construction means it holds one fixed shape rather than needing to be reset each time it is loaded. It is light enough to lift down single-handed.
It suits the cabinet above a prep area or beside a hob, and moves to a different cabinet whenever the kitchen layout changes. Because it is portable and leaves no marks, it works in rentals and student housing where fixings are not an option. Hanging the items you reach for most at the end nearest the sink saves the most walking during clean-up. Checking the cabinet base thickness first is worth a moment, since the hook has to seat fully to carry a load safely.
