Round storage ottoman stool for a dressing table, where a seat is needed for twenty minutes a day and the rest of the time it is just something to work around. The cushioned top makes it comfortable to sit on while doing makeup or hair, and the interior below holds brushes, rollers, palettes or spare toiletries. Pushed under the table it disappears completely.
A metal frame carries the seat, with a wooden body and a padded, upholstered top in a modern Moroccan style. Metal keeps the leg profile slim, so the stool is far narrower than a padded box of the same seat size, and it does not creak the way a purely wooden frame can. The storage sits under the cushion rather than in a drawer, so there is no runner to jam and nothing to pull out into the room.
It sits naturally at a bedroom dressing table, but the same stool works beside a wardrobe as a place to sit while choosing shoes, or in a walk-in closet holding belts and accessories.
