Nordic ABS ottoman stool, a low moulded seat for the entryway where shoes are put on and a full bench will not fit. It sits below chair height, which is the position that actually makes lacing boots comfortable, and it works equally as a footrest once it has been carried back into the living room. Several stack into one footprint when they are not needed.
The body is ABS plastic, a tougher grade than the general-purpose plastic used in cheap stools, and it is moulded as one piece so there is no joint to work loose underfoot. There is no cushion and no fabric, which is deliberate for a stool that lives where wet shoes and outdoor grit land - it wipes down with a cloth. It arrives assembled, with nothing to fix or tighten.
Keep one inside the front door, another by a low shelf in the living room, and a third in a child's room as a stool at a low table. Everstock chose the vintage Nordic profile so it reads as a small piece of furniture rather than a utility item in the hallway visitors see first. Stacked in a cupboard, the set takes barely more space than a single stool.
