Installation-free bamboo shoe rack for people who want the box opened and the job finished in the same five minutes. There is no flat pack, no hardware bag and no diagram; the rack comes out of the carton ready to take shoes. That makes it a straightforward choice for a rental, a first flat, or a gift where you cannot assume anyone owns a screwdriver.
It is built from bamboo, a wood that stays dimensionally stable in the damp air near a front door and takes the knocks of shoes being pushed on and pulled off. The tiers are open, so air moves around footwear rather than sitting trapped against a solid back panel. The simple slatted construction has no fixings to work loose, which is the usual failure point on a cheap flat-pack rack.
It is sized to sit in a living room without looking like utility storage, and the natural finish reads closer to furniture than to a hallway rack. Use it along a hallway wall, at the foot of a bed for the pairs in rotation, or in a living room as a low shelf for baskets and plants. Everstock kept the profile shallow so it does not narrow a corridor.
