Wooden pen holder stand for a desk where the pens in use are worth more than the drawer they would otherwise be dropped into. It holds a pen in position while you turn a page or take a call, and returns it to the same spot afterwards, which is the part a pot or a tray never manages. Writers, calligraphers and anyone signing paperwork through the day get the most out of it.
The stand is cut from superior walnut, a close-grained hardwood that machines to a smooth edge and takes a finish without the fuzz softer timbers leave behind. Natural grain patterns vary piece to piece, so the one that arrives is not identical to the photograph. Its weight comes from the wood itself rather than an added base, which keeps the profile low and the whole thing stable when a heavier pen is set down at an angle.
It earns its place on a home office desk next to a notebook and a laptop, on a studio table where brushes need to rest without their tips touching anything, and on a reception or shop counter where a signing pen should be presented rather than left loose. Everstock made it for the desk where one or two good pens are used constantly and everything else lives in a drawer.
