Farmhouse wood floating shelves come as a set of two, for walls that need storage and something to look at in the same fitting. The pair can hang one above the other, sit either side of a window, or go up in separate rooms entirely, which a single shelf can never do. Books, framed photos, plants and everyday bits all share the same board comfortably. Buying shelves in a pair also settles the spacing question, since two boards of identical size hang at a matched interval without measuring twice.
Both shelves are made from wood in a plain farmhouse profile, with the fixing hardware kept underneath so each shelf reads as a clean horizontal line. A flat rectangular board is usable end to end, unlike shaped decorative shelves where only the centre section takes anything of size. Two boards together give enough surface for a real collection rather than a token display.
They work over a sofa or a bed, in a bathroom for towels and jars, in a kitchen for mugs and seasonings, or in a hallway for keys and post. Everstock supplies the pair because one shelf almost always leads to a second purchase a month later, usually in a slightly different shade of timber that never quite matches. In a rental, two small fixings are also easier to make good than one large unit.
